6 for lunch today at Jane; everything was great; service, food and ambiance. I had the filet and it was wonderful - Prime, corn-fed beef - another a pacific cod dish, and 4 had pasta dishes. Waiter Avery was attentive and helpful, and the owner was there asking how things were and answering questions. All good, best restaurant in Goleta.
Came here for dinner while on a work trip! We got the Jane burger with fries, the French onion soup, a margarita and a raspberry lemon drop as well as a slice of the coconut cake to go. The cake was nice, but maybe tastes better when you have it there. The cake was a little crumbly and dry when we ate it. The burger was delicious and huge! The fries were also really well made and you get a very large portion. The location is really pretty and seems like a quiet and fun place for a group dinner with friends. The staff were so kind, and made it a special evening. I will remember this restaurant and will keep it in mind next time I am back in the area!
Sat at the bar and ordered the chicken picatta. Ambiance with nice with a solo live musician playing. Bartender was friendly and very attentive. The chicken picatta was delicious. I would definitely go back when in town
** Visited on Sat. May 11th, 2024 My family and I came here to celebrate my sibling's birthday with a party of 16. The vibes are stylish yet casual- I think you could get away with wearing a sweatsuit if you wanted to LOL. There's an option of sitting inside or outside, but definitely be mindful of the weather! The service was incredible. With a large party, I didn't expect how on top the waitresses were, and how they were keen on attention to detail. Shoutout to the waitresses working this night, I'm so sorry I didn't catch your names but you guys were amazing. OKAY THE FOOD: I ordered the grilled salmon on cedar plank, though I was also eyeing the linguini & clams. The salmon was cooked to perfection- it wasn't dry and the flavors were super tasty! My boyfriend had gotten the grilled chicken breast, and it was SOOO good. We're thinking of coming back with just the two of us next time.
